I do still have 2007 Pig Pennies available, but all are limited to what ever is left only. Most of you know I destroyed the "Original Pig Penny 2007" die on Dec 31, 2007. I have pennies (since that is the main coin I rolled). But Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Dollar coins are all still available ( in very limited numbers ). Dimes would be the toughest, since I only was "able" to roll them for 3 days, before the die was destroyed. Only 100, "2007" Dimes were made. Merle Norman ( Mom's Business ) Has moved 90 feet down the street. It is now located at 22 W. 2nd Ave, Lexington, NC 27292. She moved in, Jan 1, 2008. Thanks for all those who go by to get the Pig Pennies, and all the T-shirts, Braclets, Necklaces, Magnets, Pins etc. from her. Mom as many of you know was the artist who drew "The Original Pig Penny" design. She is graciously drawing several of the new designs that are currently in the works. From (12-29-2007) I finally perfected rolling a Dime! I will have some completed before the retirement of the die! ( I only ruined about 40-50 dimes to finally get them right ). Quarters, and Dollar Coins are Now available. Check out the new picture on the Original Pig Penny Page. What's a Pig Penny? It is an elongated, pressed, squished, smashed, or mashed ( which ever you want to call it) coin made from a real copper pre 1982 penny, or a Nickel, Quarter, or Presidential Dollar. They are made as a souvenir of Lexington, NC. Currently there are 3 different designs. The original features art drawn by local artist DonRea Padon. The other two feature the logos of Smiley's Lexington Barbeque, and Southern Barbecue, both of Lexington, NC.
